We all know those people in our life, the ones that when we walk away from spending time with them, we just breathe a bit deeper, smile a bit wider and hold our heads up higher. Those people that make you believe you can do anything, help you to get out of your comfort zone and into the place where the magic happens. The people who allow you to speak your truth without judgement and you can truly be yourself.
These people are good for your health!
Why is this so important? For one thing, it makes us feel joyful and supported. This may sound like a very simple concept on the surface but has deep implications on a cellular level. For example, it can affect our brain chemistry, the way that we move, our decision making and even the quality of sleep that we have.
On the other hand
At the opposite end of the spectrum we have those people who love to complain, love to hear us complain and then conclude that ultimately it’s all not worth it and things will never get better. On the face of it it may seem like this person understands you, but actually what’s happening is you are both talking yourself out of doing anything to improve your situation.
You also have those ‘friends’ where there is constant one up-manship, but it’s all very latent, you know those people you walk away from and then replay your conversations in your head, wishing you had been quick thinking enough to give them a dose of their own medicine. Those people who talk over you, don’t ask you questions about yourself, but you end up knowing the minutiae of their life. They also LOVE to gossip and make other people feel excluded.
It’s those people who lower your vibration, make you feel like you are not good enough, or beautiful enough, or thin enough, or clever enough, or rich enough, or funny enough, nothing feels like enough.
This leads to self doubt, depression and actually a lot of anxiety.
The healthy step
It’s simple, just stop spending your precious time with these people, precious time that you will never get back! It’s safe to let go, amazing things will happen.
Our vibration and our state of mind affect our emotions and our physical health. It’s so important to spend your time with those amazing people who leave you feeling uplifted and like you can achieve anything, and provide you with a safe space to be yourself, without any conditions and of course you reciprocate this kindness.
They normally give the best hugs too!
